BOOK WORMS
Do you love reading and want to learn about different writing styles? Use your critical thinking skills to become a librarian this summer where you'll learn how to be a readers’ advisor, suggesting fiction and nonfiction genres to various readers. Then, work together to lead a book drive for incarcerated people based upon what you've learned about suggesting writing styles for particular audiences.
• Days and times: Mondays, June 11-July 23, 1-3 pm
• Location: Main Library Book Discussion Room (second floor)

FORUM THEATRE TROUPE
Learn improv techniques to create, rehearse, and perform a short play that explores problems in our community. Following a facilitated discussion, audience members will be invited to stop the play and try different interventions to change the outcome. These methods may help you change the world by imagining new responses to old problems.
• Days and times: Tuesdays, June 12-July 24, 1-3 pm; rehearsals Thursdays, June 28-July 19; Performances week of July 23, exact dates to be determined
• Location: Main Library Veterans Room

STEM INVESTIGATIVE TEAM
Show younger students why science, technology, engineering, and math are fun. Design and construct projects like straw bridges or "elephant toothpaste." Then, help kids ask questions and explain evidence as they investigate and experiment. Do you like to teach, tinker, and explore? This team is great for you! Participation does not require specific math and/or science skills.
• Days and times: Mondays, June 11-July 23, 3:30-5:30 pm
• Location: Main Library Small Meeting Room

VOLT: VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES FOR LIBRARY TEENS
Bring your time and talents and learn something new while you help keep the library functioning and work with other community organizations. Get flexibility, variety and choice in tasks such as finding books, creating displays, making crafts, and more. Come when you can; no need to commit to a consistent schedule.
• Orientation: Thursday, June 7, 6:30-7:30 pm, Main Library Veterans Room
• Days and times: Wednesdays, June 13-July 25, 3:30-5 pm and/or Saturdays, June 16-July 28, 10:30 am-12 pm
• Location: Wednesdays: Main Library Veterans Room; Saturdays: Small Meeting Room
